The government I believe is doing MORE DAMAGE TO THIS COUNTRY THAN TERRORISTS EVER COULD with the required retention of electronic records for 3years
Think about it, you've done your banking, emailing company secrets, private info etc.
Instead of the Information being available for the SHORT TERM, during the required necessity time for these files, the government HAS CREATED ACCESS WINDOWS TO THIS INFORMATION FOR YEARS TO HACKERS AND TERRORISTS INSTEAD OF DAYS AND MONTHS.
Identity Theft, loss of Company secrets, stock secrets lost - OUR COUNTRY IS BEING RIPPED APART ELECTRONICLY AND OUR GOVERNMENT IS AIDING THEM WITH THIS REQUIREMENT!!!!
Half of our Stock Market Problems could have been caused by hacked inside information.
Also unless a crime had been committed and a search warrant issued to retain this information our private information should NOT be available to ANYBODY!!
THERE IS THE SAME PERCENTAGE OF CROOKS IN GOVERNMENT AS THERE ARE OUT HERE IN OUR WORLD - AND THEY HAVE ACCESS TO THIS INFORMATION AND ARE USING IT!!!!!!! AND IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE MAJOR FACTORS IN OUR TERRIBLE ECONOMY.
This ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUES OBAMA SHOULD ADDRESS!!
1. Scrap the warrantless searches (Illegal AND EMPOWERING THE CROOKS IN GOVERNMENT) just look at our current situation and you can see why. Most of it caused by BILLIONS IN LOSSES CAUSED BY ELECTRONIC THEFT.
2. REQUIRE IMMEDIATE ERASURE OF INFORMATION - Stop the retention of information beyond it's usefullness the SECOND IT'S USELESS - CLOSE THE WINDOWS OF OPPORTUNITY TO HACKERS AND TERRORISTS!!!!!.
3. Have ALL computer firewalls report serious intrusion ATTEMPTS and the intrusion IP to a CENTRAL GOVERNMENT DATABASE. Ever watch your firewall and see how many times in five minutes you get pinged? Its OUTRAGEOUS!
Because of the reported criminal act of attempted intrusion it WOULD BE AND IS LEGAL FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO HACK AND TRACK THESE INDIVIDUALS LEGALLY WITHOUT WARRANTS! Privacy wouldn't be an issue for the reporting computer, for the intrusion report the computer would only have to be identified by catagory of importance, to be able to set priorities for a triage purposes.
THINK ABOUT IT - this would make the Illegal Warrantless Searches violating OUR RIGHTS UNNECESSARY and the government would BE COMPILING A DATABASE OF OFFENDERS WHO COULD BE STOPPED IN REAL TIME. And it wouldn't offend me at all if they kept intrusion records AS LONG AS THEY WANT (SMILE)
Our virus programs should also be reporting target IP addresses in found viruses in this manner ALSO.
4. REQUIRE secure ENCRYPTION ON ALL ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS (self explanitory)
Just look at the current state of affairs we can't continue on this road. Current Policies are ENABLING the hackers and Terrorists.
